It is September and you know what that means... London Fashion week!
As per usual for the summer, this season saw eye catching bright colours and pretty pastels however they were mixed in with black which was a bold choice that actually worked really well. Shiny Metallics were also an interesting key piece seen at many of the shows. Sheer fabrics were another popular choice by the designers again this season. There is also a strong eighties vibe, following the seventines style of last season, in the form of boxy blazers and a sense of power dressing. Here are a few of my favourite pieces so you can what went on for yourselves...
Christopher Kane used a mixture of colours and shapes to create eye catching bold pieces.
Henry Holland created a fun, colourful rainforest explorer look.
Topshop Unique gave me an eighties vibe with their boxy pinstriped blazer and black lace.
Belstaff used shiny metallics to create beautiful jackets.
Black was a staple colour at Burberry with pretty decorative pieces.
Edeline Lee caught my eye with their use of geometric prints and a mix of pastel colours and black.
Felder Felder used shiny fabric to create wonderful two piece suits.
Mary Katrantzou gave us a spacey feel with her glittering creations.
Alexander McQueen also used metallic and sheer fabrics.
Bold alluring patterns were on show at Victoria Beckham.
Osman kept it simple with the colours but created awesome shapes.
Vivienne Westwood Red Label gave me a power dressing eighties vibe with this collarless boxy shaped jacket.
Sophia Webster took us under the sea with her collection.
