Stina Pearson for her creative use of media which inspired me to experiment using some of her techniques. I particularly enjoyed attempting her silhouette and paint image!
I love Peacocks so when I saw Pomme Chans Peacock I knew I had to use her as one of my designers and attempt re-create her amazing image! 
George Barbier's romantic style swept me off my feet! Set in the 1920s, one of my favourite eras, I fell in love with the way George Barbier's images which tell stories in such a glamorous way! I had to re-create one of his images, using watercolour paints and then coloured pastels.
I had my three illustrators but then I found Roy Litchenstein. He was perfect for my theme! An artist who's designs felt quirky and modern even though they were designed years ago perfect for my audience. Something everyone could recognise no matter how old they may be but something that felt new! I re-created one of his images and knew he was the illustrator for lazy hazy days! 
I then went on to use his illustration style in my final designs. Keeping with his style of spots for the skin, those beautiful emotive eyes and that huge hair! I wanted to use his speech bubbles but I couldn't think of anything relevant and not cheesy to say so I decided not to use them. Here you can see my final designs and hopefully you can see Roy Lichensteins wonderful illustration style mixed in with them.
